Anywhere in the main window

In the point editor

These work while you are editing a take (see chapter 11). Tab, Enter and typing a number work in the grid of points; the others work in the grid and on the chart.

Shortcut	Action
`Ctrl+C`	Copy the values of the selected points to the clipboard, one per line
`Ctrl+V`	Paste values from the clipboard, one per line, in front of the first selected point
`Insert`	Insert a point after each selected point, with the same value
`Delete`	Delete the selected points
`Esc`	Clear the selection, so an adjustment applies to the whole take. While you are typing a value, the first `Esc` puts the point's value back as it was.
`Tab` / `Shift+Tab`	Move down / up the value column, ready to type a new value
`Enter`	Keep the value you typed and move down to the next point
A digit, `-`, `+` or the decimal separator	With one point selected, start typing a new value for it

Note. While an adjustment is waiting on its tick or cross, the points can't be changed: Ctrl+V, Insert and Delete beep instead, and so does Esc when points are selected.

In the axis list

On the Axes tab, once you have clicked in the axis list (see chapter 6):

`Insert`	Add an axis
`Delete`	Delete the selected axis. Contours asks first.

In fields

Shortcut	Action
`Enter`	Apply the value you typed straight away, without leaving the field. This works in the fields on the cards, such as those on the Axes tab; elsewhere a typed value applies when you move to another field.
`Up` / `Down`	In a number box with + and − buttons, step the value up or down

In windows and messages
