CM3 - User Guides
Introduction
The CM3 has a few variants depending on requirements
CM3+
The CM3+ is a fully integrated servo controlled motor. The CM3+ is programmable with PLC style logic. This gives it enormous flexibility on how it can be programmed - running custom motion, acting to inputs and setting outputs. The CM3+ can be programmed using Control Room.

CM3
The standard CM3 will have set functions that can be executed. It is further broken down into 3 different types. The CM3 can be switched between the types giving the user flexibility to test and identify what best works in their application.
The CM3 can be programmed using Motion Manager.

I/O Type
I/O type will run the motor based on digital input combinations. Position, speed, acceleration and torque are set for each combination. Each motion can be set to a position, speed or torque profile. This type could be used for electrifying a pneumatic axis, moving between points on a sorting system or running a conveyor.

Serial Type
Serial type accepts a series of commands over the serial port. The user can manually run the motor and receive data such as position, speed and torque.

Pulse Type
Pulse type will run in a step/direction mode or CW/CCW mode. As the motor is servo controlled with closed loop position and current control it can be run at significantly higher speeds, accelerations and torque than an open stepper of the same size.
